Bateleur Camp is situated on the western border of the Maasai Mara National Reserve in southwestern Kenya. Set of a private concession leased from the Maasai landlords, the camp lies at the base of the Oloololo escarpment just below the spot where Out of Africa,s most famous scene was shot. The camp overlooks the plains of the Maasai Mara and lies directly in the path of what is considered to be the greatest spectacle of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania..
It is approximately 302 kilometers (177 miles) or a 6 hour and 15 minutes drive from Nairobi Airport to Bateleur Camp. Flights are available from Nairobi Wilson Airport and are the recommended means of transfer.

Bateleur Camp tented suites have polished floors, crisp linen clad, wooden framed beds cooled by the rhythm of ceiling fans.
Glass walled showers; twin hand basins and a separate flush w.c are en suite with forest views. The camp also features a deep lap pool and a small African gift shop
