Nairobi, Amboseli Safari

4 Days, Nairobi - Lake Naivasha - Maasai Mara

Day 1 Nairobi —Lake Naivasha

After breakfast at our hotel we depart by road for Lake Naivasha. Our accommodations are located right by Lake Naivasha, a fresh water lake. We visit Elsmere — the former home of the late Joy Adamson who, together with her husband George, became world famous for their pioneering conservation work and relationship with the Lioness Elsa, as told in her best-selling book and subsequent film: Born Free. After lunch we take a boat ride to Crescent Island. Many different types of animals are found in the Island as we take a walk with the expert resident naturalist. Giraffes, waterbucks, wildebeest, Gazelles, Impala, Dik diks can be seen during the walk.

We retire back at our cozy accommodations either at Lodge or Camp . Meal Plan {Lunch & Dinner}

Day 2 Lake Naivasha — Maasai Mara Game Reserve

This morning we drive through the dramatic Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo and Rhino. Lunch at our Lodge and relax before departing for the afternoon game run. The Mara Game Reserve – one of the greatest wildernesses of the world. Large mammals are varied, and easy to see

Day 3 Discover Maasai Mara

Full days spent exploring the park in search of the big 5 - Optional balloon safari can be arranged at an extra cost of US$ 450 per person. The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe: over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, buffalo, leopard, many kinds of antelopes and elephant. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna- lion, cheetah, wild dog, jackal, hyena and vultures.
